The trigger for depression, when it goes off, is very subtle. It can rob us of days, weeks at a time and it’s only as we look back we realise how much we wanted to achieve and how much didn’t happen. We experience anything from no sleep to too much sleep, from feeling like the world is over, to spring cleaning the house in a day. We experience cycles of flashbacks and numbing inner critic cycles, one minute filled with confidence and the next week doubting ourselves.
